Okay so Briana is the bomb. We met on insta (because that’s where the cool kids meet) and immediately found out she was friends with one of my past clients, Jessie Martin Photography! I got to create a logo and a brand new website for Briana who was so open and fun to work with. She let me have creative control over her website and we got her logo picked out within three days. I meant to take a “before” picture of her website but didn’t have the idea until this project was finished! I do so many “before and after” designs that I am going to start making graphics for all my clients of their website before/after they work with me! With this website I wanted the design to be minimalistic and easy to navigate. Since Briana runs a photography business, her site users only come to her site for one reason.. to view her work to decide whether or not they will book her. That’s how she gets all her moolah. So I wanted the design to attract those that are viewing her portfolio. With her portfolio page, each client has their own album and their own section on the page! It’s very easy to navigate. But, you should just go check it out for yourself 😉
While I was on my Chicago trip I made 14 different designs for her to choose from and it was a bit informal since I didn’t always have internet the whole time so we just texted back and forth about what she liked/didn’t like. We had so much fun together creating a design for her photography business! I love having clients like Briana because I will be able to keep up with her business along the way and make sure the website is still working for her business needs months later. With this logo, nature was her inspiration. Originally I was going to go off her old logo and have a dandelion but when I started creating this floral design just stuck out to both her and I. Briana was wonderful which made designing her brand a lot easier!
Since the creative process was definitely different with this project (designed her brand while on a trip) I’m very pleased with how it went. I promised myself that I would leave work behind when going to Chicago. I got ahead of the game with my clients, it was the perfect time to take a break from the biz life. And then Briana shot me a message on Instagram and I jus couldn’t help myself. First of all, I could tell how great of a person she would be to work with. Second of all, I had already taken a 9 hour break from my business and might have been a bit antsy! I love what I do so much. Creating and refreshing brands with a new logo design and website is something that I am so very passionate about.
Are these not gorgeous photos? She specializes in high quality portrait and couple photo sessions and pretty much blows everyone out of the water. She rocks and I highly suggest you go stalk her new site!
